Independence Memorial Hall (also known as Independence Commemoration Hall) is a national monument in Sri Lanka erected to commemorate the restoration of full governing responsibility to a Ceylonese-elected legislature on 4 February 1948, when Sri Lanka gained independence from British control. It's in Colombo's Cinnamon Gardens, at Independence Square (previously Torrington Square). The Independence Memorial Museum is also located there.
